Power BI Desktop offers a multitude of tools dedicated to the data-based collection, modeling, visualization, and reporting.

With this tool, you can analyze data and design excellent dashboards and reports, and share them with your colleagues and collaborators. In addition, it is Completely Free!

There are two approaches to installing Power BI Desktop on your Computer; Via the Microsoft App Store, or via direct download of an executable file.

Microsoft App store is the way we recommend installing Power BI, it’s simple and intuitive. To open the Microsoft App store and Install Power BI, you can:

  • Once Microsoft Store is open, it may ask you to identify yourself with a Microsoft email that is to say a Hotmail, Outlook, Live account … connect if you have one, otherwise create one and connect -you.
  • Once it is done, you will be on the next screen on Microsoft Score, click on get (or “get”) then click on Install.

This will start the automatic download and installation.

Once complete, Power BI is in your start menu, and you can launch it just by clicking on it!

This error can be caused by one of two reasons:

1. You have a 32-bit operating system

You can check your operating system version by going to https://whatsmyos.com

If you have a 32-bit operating system, instead follow the instructions in this article to install 32-bit Power BI.

2. You have a 64-bit operating system But .Net Framework is not installed

If you have a 64-bit operating system, visit this page to download and install .Net Framework on your computer and reinstall Power BI.
